Goonoo Feedlot

Goonoo Feedlot is located on Gangulu country near Emerald in the Central Highland region of Queensland. This large feedlot is located only 450 metres from the Comet River, and a large section of the property, including the effluent ponds, is situated in mapped flood hazard areas. The feedlot is mostly shaded, however at the time the footage was taken, there were several pens where cows had no access to shade or shelter. Goonoo Feedlot is owned and operated by Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) and the company has plans to expand the feedlot substantially.
