Lemontree Feedlot

Lemontree Feedlot is located on Barunggam country near Millmerran in the Toowoomba region of Queensland. The entire feedlot, which is owned and operated by McNamee Partners, is situated on mapped flood hazard areas and is only 500 metres from Six Mile Creek. Around 40% of the cows at Lemontree Feedlot are Wagyu, who will remain at the feedlot for around 400 days. The pens are shaded, but there are not adequate amounts of shade for all of the cows simultaneously. On the days the footage was captured, we observed many bones and some old carcasses in the compost area, along with a large hole filled with rubbish, including an old trampoline.
