Yarranbrook Feedlot

Yarranbrook Feedlot is located on Bigambul country near Ingelwood in the Goondiwindi Region of Queensland. This feedlot is owned and operated by Mort & Co, who also own several other feedlots, including the nation’s largest, Grassdale Feedlot. Yarranbrook Feedlot is just 1.74 km from the Macintyre Brook River, which flows to Coolmunda Dam – an urban drinking water supply. Much of the effluent utilisation area is mapped as a flood zone. The pens are shaded but are insufficient in providing shade for all of the cows simultaneously.

Update 2025: Yarranbrook Feedlot has applied to increase in capacity up to 35,000 cows.
