Thornby Lamb Feedlot

Thornby Lamb Feedlot is located on Ngadjuri country, near Mannum in the Mid Murray region of South Australia. This is a lamb feedlot, where lambs are fed an unnatural diet of grain to fatten them before slaughter. The lambs are not provided with any shade or shelter. On the day we visited the feedlot, we observed a large dead pile with decaying carcasses of lambs and sheep, some of which had been predated upon by wild animals. We also noticed a large rubbish pile which appeared to be in the process of being buried.
