Bective Feedlot

Bective Feedlot is located on Kamilaroi Country, near Tamworth in the New England region of New South Wales. This feedlot is owned and operated by NH Foods, a Japanese company, who also own Whyalla Feedlot and Oakey Beef, among other large properties. This feedlot concentrates on long-fed Angus, meaning that cows will typically stay on this feedlot for around 270 days. This feedlot is just 420 meters from Peel River. On the day we visited the feedlot, we saw large puddles of water in some of the pens, and it was evident that the shade structures were not large enough to provide shade for all of the cows.
