Caroona Feedlot

Caroona Feedlot is located on Kamilaroi country, near Tamworth in the Liverpool Plains Shire region of New South Wales. This feedlot is owned and operated by JBS, the largest meat company in the world, who supply companies like McDonalds and the major supermarkets. When we visited the feedlot, we saw multiple workers applying cattle prods to load cows onto trucks, and a dead cow being predated upon by wild birds. It was also evident that there was not enough shade for all of the cows in the pens.
