Macquarie Wagyu

Macquarie Downs Feedlot is located on Barunggam country near Leyburn in Queensland’s Southern Downs region. This feedlot, owned and operated by Macquarie Wagyu, confines only Wagyu and Wagyu crossbreeds of cow, all of whom will stay here for 400 to 500 days before slaughter. Shade is provided, but it is not sufficient for all of the cows simultaneously. This feedlot is situated 500 metres from Canal Creek, and the entire property is mapped as a flood hazard area. This feedlot mainly services overseas markets.
