Prime City Feedlot

Prime City Feedlot is located on Wiradjuri Country, near Griffith in the Riverina Region of New South Wales. This feedlot is owned and operated by JBS, the largest meat company in the world. This feedlot primarily focuses on ‘mid-fed Angus and Wagyu’, meaning that cows will remain here from anywhere between 120 to 500+ days. The feedlot’s effluent pond is located just 235 meters from the Wah Wah Channel, an open-channel water delivery system that delivers stock and domestic water to landholders. When we visited the feedlot, we saw densely stocked pens, and inadequate shade for all of the cows at the same time.
