Saxby Feedlot is located on Gubbi Gubbi country, near Goomeri in the Gympie region of Queensland. This feedlot is located only 60 metres from Kabunga Creek, and a large part of the feedlot, including the effluent pond, is mapped as a flood hazard area. This feedlot does not provide any shade or shelter for the cows. On the day we visited, we observed cow body parts on the compost pile that were being eaten by wildlife.
