Spion Kop Feedlot

Spion Kop Feedlot is located on Yiman country, near Taroom in the Banana region of Queensland. This small feedlot is situated just 40 metres from Eurombah Creek, and the entire feedlot is mapped as a flood hazard area. On the day we visited the feedlot, we observed what appeared to be algal blooms in all of the water bodies on the property, including Eurombah Creek. There are small shade structures in two pens, and a few scattered trees, but most of the cows do not have access to shade or shelter. On the day the footage was taken, there were sheep in one of the feedlot pens.
