Vandyke Feedlot

Vandyke Feedlot is located on Gayiri country near Springsure in the Central Highlands region of Queensland. This feedlot is owned and operated by Allied Beef. The feedlot is situated just 500 metres from Sandy Creek, and 1 km from Vandyke Creek, and the entire feedlot is mapped as a flood hazard area. On the day that the footage was taken, we witnessed domestic pigs eating the bodies of dead cows, effluent being drained out of the ponds, large piles of what appeared to be sludge and electric prods being used to move cows in the yards.
