There are over 400 feedlots in Australia, and the majority of beef sold in supermarkets- around 80% - is sourced from the feedlot sector. Despite this, most people have never seen a feedlot, and are unaware of this industry's detrimental impacts.
This website aims to highlight Australian feedlots, for land owners, domestic and overseas consumers and governments. We have documented almost a quarter of the accredited feedlots in the country, to provide an honest and transparent glimpse of this industry, and the harm it causes to animals, the environment and human health.
