Have you uncovered the truth about feedlots and want to take action? Do you want to see positive change?
1. Vote with your dollar
The single, most impactful way that individuals can demand change and reduce your footprint is by diverting money away from the industry. Choosing to adopt a plant-based vegan lifestyle accounts for 75% less in greenhouse emissions than those who eat more than 100grams of meat per day, and a vegan also results in significantly less harm to land, water and biodiversity, according to new research from the University of Oxford.

2. Write to the Queensland Premier
The Queensland government supports the growth of the industry by:
- Approving new or expanding feedlots, even when they pose a risk to the environment and people,
- Failing to take meaningful action against feedlots who continually cause harm to the environment, and;
- Financially supporting the industry with taxpayer funding through grants
3. Contact the Supermarkets
The two major Australian supermarkets often make bold claims about their sustainability and animal welfare credentials, however, 80% of beef in Australian supermarkets is sourced from feedlots like those featured on this website.
Contact Coles and Woolworths and let them know that you will no longer be purchasing these products, and demand more transparency and truth in labelling about where their beef comes from.
4. Spread the word
Most people are surprised to learn about how big the Australian Feedlot industry is. Feedlots are hidden from the public, and the majority of Australians will never see one. We want to change that. Share this website with your friends and family so they can learn the truth.
